Envirosips Limited were been awarded the cladding remediation scheme to 4nr 11 storey high rise apartments blocks that form the Lakeside Rise Development in Blackley Manchester.
Originally local authority owned, the towers were privately redeveloped around 2010 / 2011. The facade underwent substantial refurbishment which included the installation of Cedar boarding to three main elevations and the additional penthouse of each tower.
All combustible cedar boarding and associated carrier systems were removed, and replaced with none combustible replacement Cedral cladding, steel support system, cavity breaks and fire stops.
During the design and construction phase, Envirosips were in close consultation with the clients appointed specialist Contract Administrator Thomasons, Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the clients fire engineers, and Local Authority Building Control ensuring all works are fit for purpose.
