LARGE SCALE FIRE TESTING

Envirosips were commisioned to carry out large scale BS8414 external wall facade testing, working alongside the client’s Fire Engineers and Contract Administrator.

One fire rig that was installed copied an external wall build up of an existing high rise facade to allow the client to ascetain whether the facade was fit for purpose. As expected this test failed.

A second rig followed the Architect and Fire Engineers detailed design for the proposed remediation scheme. This test fully complied with the requirements of the BS8414 test.

On completion, both rigs were dismantled layer by layer with all findings recorded for final test reporting.

These tests were conducted and completed in 2023.
