THE DRIVE

Following the successful completion of the full facade remediation to the Parade Building in Saxton Gardens in 2019, our valued client offered Envirosips the opportunity to carry out the full facade refurbishment of the Drive Building. This is a G+8 storey structure that was extensively refurbished in 2007.  The building was subject to a waking watch patrol, therefore all combustible materials were removed and the facade fire protected to the whole building prior to replacement works proceeding. This allowed for the standing down of the waking watch patrol at the earliest opportunity, in agreement with WYFRS.

The remedial works incorporated the removal of the existing facade panels, carrier system and breather membrane. The backing wall was then covered with a none combustible  board, a replacement carrier system, an aluminium PPC through fix panel system with cavity fire breaks, installed to manufacturers recommedations.

Works were carried out over a 50 week period with the residents remaining in the building throughout.
